Bumps, Burns & Big Feelings: Keeping Babies Safe Without Living in Fear

About this event:

September is Baby Safety Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to build confidence around the moments that worry parents most.

Every parent wants to keep their baby safe—but in a world of endless advice, social media horror stories, and constant "what ifs," it can be hard to know what's truly worth worrying about. Should every fever send you to the pediatrician? Which falls are actually concerning? What safety products are worth investing in, and which fears are more common than they are dangerous?

Join us for a practical, evidence-based conversation on preventing common childhood injuries, responding confidently when accidents happen, and knowing when it's time to call the pediatrician—or head to the emergency room. From bumps and burns to choking, babyproofing, car seats, and navigating those inevitable scary moments, we'll cover the knowledge every parent wishes they had before they needed it.

Joining the conversation are Cierra Crowley, pediatric nurse practitioner and founder of Bitesize Pediatrics, and Dr. Whitney Casares, board-certified pediatrician, founder of Modern Mommy Doc, contributor to the Baby Wellness Foundation, and author of Raising Body-Confident Kids: A Balanced Approach to Breaking the Cycle of Body Shame and Diet Culture. Together, they'll separate fact from fear, share practical guidance for everyday situations, and help parents feel prepared without becoming overwhelmed.

Parents will leave with greater confidence, actionable safety strategies they can use right away, and the reassurance that keeping your child safe doesn't mean parenting from a place of fear.
