About this event:
Breastfeeding can bring a whole new set of questions about food: Am I eating enough? Do I need to avoid certain foods? Can supplements or special lactation products actually help with milk supply? When you’re also caring for a newborn, figuring out how to feed yourself well can feel like one more thing on an already-full plate.
In this practical, evidence-based session Shira Sussi MS, RD, CDN a registered dietitian will help take the guesswork out of eating while breastfeeding. We’ll cover the nutrients and foods that matter most during breastfeeding, hydration needs, supplements and lactation products, and what—if anything—you may want to limit or avoid.
You’ll also learn realistic strategies for getting the nourishment you need when time, energy, and sleep are in short supply. Rather than aiming for a “perfect” breastfeeding diet, the focus will be on simple, sustainable ways to support your nutrition, recovery, and breastfeeding journey.
Bring your questions and leave with greater clarity and confidence about nourishing yourself while supporting your growing baby.
