No One Does It Like I Do: How to Find Help That Actually Helps

About this event:

You've got the babysitter, the cleaner, maybe even an assistant. So why are you still the one remembering everything, deciding everything, checking that it all got done?

In this quick, practical workshop, we'll cover both the who and the how.

How to spot help that actually lightens the load instead of just adding a manager's job to your plate, the five checks that tell you whether someone can really own a piece of your family's chaos, and how to run a low-stakes trial before you commit.

We'll also talk about how to structure your delegation so that you push through some of the most common blockers that lead parents to conclude (falsely): It's easier to just do it myself.

In the Q&A, we'll troubleshoot your real life, together. Bring one piece of help that hasn't quite worked, e.g. the assistant you micromanage, the setup that made more work than it saved, the task that keeps boomeranging back.

We'll figure out the root cause of why it's not working and which element of the workshop can change that for you -- because the whole point of handing something off is then getting that piece of your brain back.

Led by Jennifer Mickel, founder of The Third Shift, a company that applies management frameworks to the mental load of parenthood. Jennifer is a mother of two, former MBB consultant, JD-MBA, and coach.
