I think many can agree that coming home from the hospital with a brand new baby and having a stranger in your house can be overwhelming, especially in a NYC apartment. I never had any concerns about the care of my son, but ensuring Mattie’s happiness gave both my husband and I a lot of anxiety. The entire 3 weeks she was with us we were catering to her and her preferences. To the point of getting her a new mattress. I am interested in possibly having a nighttime doula when I have my next baby.
